I recollect a news item picked up in the old "Wildlife Magazine"
edited by Crosbie Morrison, back in the 40s or early 50s.
At a country sports meeting, a smoker threw down a butt, which
was promptly picked up by a Zebra Finch and carried into a half-built
nest. Unfortunately, it was still burning.. I don't recall if the
burning nest actually started a grass fire when it fell out of the tree.
