Happy New Year everyone,
Not exactly what Nicole asked for, but there will in June be an on-line guide
to the birds of New Zealand. It will be http://www.nzbirdsonline.org.nz/.
The site is currently only open to contributors, but should be a good resource
as they are covering eggs and some photographed extinct birds from museum
specimens, vagrants, both breeding and non breeding plumages, and ventral and
dorsal flight photos.
It is a joint collaboration between Te Papa, the Ornithological Society of New
Zealand, and the Department of Conservation with some Australians contributing
photos.
