Hi,
Tom is talking about the 'Hand Guide', Dave about the 'Field Guide'. The Hand
Guide is an abridged version of the Field Guide: It contains the plates, maps
and short descriptions of the Field Guide, but all the detailed text is taken
out.
Is there an updated version that covers New Zealand Storm-Petrel (there is only
a foot note in my Field Guide: Heather, B. & H. Robertson (2005, 2nd ed.): The
Field Guide to the Birds of New Zealand.)
There is also another site guide (besides Kathy Ombler's book): Birds of New
Zealand Locality Guide: Stuart Chambers.
