11 on main pond next to observation station on N side of expressway. 8 were swimming in a group; 3 more were roosting with grey teal on muddy spit.

Cheetham Saltworks, St Kilda
Freckled Duck (1) Seen with grey teal in area of small islands in middle of site. Good close views by both observers.

Brolga.
Piccaninnie Ponds CP.
Three Brolgas flew in to browse on far side of ponds from landing. Crested Grebe floating right over the chasm with three Hoary headed Grebes shadowing it. also observed Black Swans nesting and a patrolling Swamp Harrier.

Greenfields Wetlands, Dry Creek
Freckled Duck (6) Roosting with Grey Teal and odd Pacific Black Duck on northern-most pond.
Blue-billed Duck (1) Spending its time with Hoary-headed Grebes, as it had been on previous two visits here when 'the bird' was seen.

Two adult Malleefowl feeding on road at around 18:30.

Stuart Highway, 183km south of Tennant Creek / nr Barrow Creek
Brown Quail (2) on road edge of grassy verge. Others ca 70 km north of TC. Ground Cuckoo Shrike (2),19km south of Barrow Creek.

White-backed Swallow
Taylorville, junction to Gluepo
A single White-backed Swallow was observed well while it scouted the sandy ledges at the disused sand quarry. Unknown if it was using any of the burrows in the banks.
