Hello Euan, I'm attaching a pic I took back in March 1964 of Emus bathing at Toganmain Station east of Hay and in another pic I have they go right in up to the head. I have no record of how hot it was, but March on the Hay plain is usually still pretty warm. The picture is on my website as well. We spent a lot of time watching this dam from daylight to dark but it is the only time I remember the Emus bathing.
