Mud Islands in Port Phillip, Victoria support one of the largest Silver Gull breeding colonies - estimated at up to 50 000 pairs continuously between July and January. However, this year there has been almost no breeding and I have no idea why that would be so. Does anybody know whether large numbers of Silver Gulls are breeding elsewhere in south-eastern Australia this year, perhaps where breeding does not normally take place? thanks Peter Menkhorst =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
