Hello Peter,
It is a bit of a hassle to go through but no alternatives available if you
want to visit. Here is the procedure:-
To visit Leanyer you will need to do an induction. To do this, go to this
web page
http://www.powerwater.com.au/sustainability_and_environment/birdwatching_ilp
arpa_swamp
read it, and click
<http://www.rapidinduct.com.au/powerwater/waterservices/> online safety
induction under site access information, then do the induction. Then there
will be some paperwork to print off, sign, and fax to Power & Water. They
will then provide you with an Induction License and Deed of Indemnity, which
you need to have on you when we enter the plant. Sounds simple but the
induction process is laid out in what seems to me to be a clumsy fashion.
Maybe it is the only way a big corporation is able to do it.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. The Power and Water
contacts for bird watching inductions were Julie Fischer - 08 8985 7175 or
Andrew Hoffman - 08 8995 5822 when I did it. Hopefully they are still the
right names and phone numbers.
If you wish to do this as part of tour with me, you won't need a key as I
have one, but you are required to do the induction.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Mike Jarvis
