Yes it is true that I didn't send my message to Birding Aus, as I wished to
first clarify with Stephen privately. I also wished to make the points that
the issue about whether it was a young from that nest is likely to be a "red
herring" as it appears to not be a nestling and that the colour could only
match Peregrine Falcon and Baza. It would be nice to know where this
happened as to how likely a Baza is. Given Stephen's comment that "The
barring is all wrong for Peregrine, .... e.g. complete bars across both webs
of the remiges" the only match that we both come up with for this limited
information on this victim is Pacific Baza.
