Hi All, After searching many sites over the years for Painted Honeyeater, we finally got onto one today! Our report for Birdline-Vic is as follows: At least 2, possibly 3 birds calling infequently around Picnic Area, but frustratingly chased and harassed by White-plumed Honeyeaters each time we would just about get onto one (a lifer for the four of us!!), until just before we left, when a sole bird sat out on a dead branch for a few minutes, giving good views!! Sadly, only managed 'reference' photos, as we had to get out of the way of a 4WD and large Caravan which had got 'stuck' in the Picnic area. Cheers, John Tongue (and family) (Usually from) Ulverstone, Tas. =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
