Little Curlew
Private Property between Ingham and Forrest Beach, Nth Qld
The Little Curlews (4) were seen at the water's edge of a small fresh water creek on the property. Also seen by the group of bird watchers were Red-kneed Dotterel, Pied Heron, Australian Pratincole, Black Butcherbird, Latham's Snipe. There were good numbers of Sharp-tailed Sandpipers intermingled with Red-necked Stints. The wetlands on the property also held large numbers of the usual waterbirds one would expect to see in this area.
