Thu 8 Nov Latham's Snipe Hasties Swamp
Two birds feeding in front of the hide. Along with Wandering Whistling Duck, Black-shouldered Kite and Chestnut-breasted Mannikin.

Mon 5 Nov Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher Mt. Lewis, Brooklyn Station.
Two birds seen on the track leading from the clearing on the road up the mountain. (Moderator Note: This track is at 950m and as far as I know an altitude record on Mt. Lewis. Previous records have them up to about 600m where the termite mounds they nest in cut out ).

Fri 2 Nov Laughing Gull Torres Strait
Laughing Gull (x2) seen Central Islands, Torres Strait.

Thu 1 Nov Red-necked Avocet & Black Falcon Northern Lakefield National Park
Red-necked Avocet. 8 Birds Feeding in lagoon.First time I have ever seen this species this far north.This may be a northern record. (Moderator Note: There is another record from this location for August 1992 on the Eremaea database). Also 1 Black Falcon a rare sighting for this area hunting over the same lagoon.

Mon 29 Oct Laughing Gull Central Islands, Torres Strait
A single bird seen on small sand/coral cay with crested terns and silver gulls early morning. Distant standing and flying photographs taken. A second bird seen a few hours later on a separate island only briefly. Second bird heard calling but no photos. (Moderators Note:- unnamed sand/coral cay)
