White-throated Gerygone, Pallid Cuckoo, White-winged Trillers and Leaden Flycatchers
Eastlakes Golf Course
A mobile Pallid Cuckoo was singing this evening (near the fence that separates the area from Bonnie Doon G.C.) as was the White-winged Triller (with a courting female) reported on Wednesday. Another male Triller was on the cauaseway near the Southern end of 'Wagtail' pond (north of Lang ave.) The White-throated Gerygone (which I have never seen here before) was also in the same area, along with the two Leaden Flycatchers. Bush regeneration is really working here, so please be mindful of freshly planted native flora. Brown Quail are calling everywhere and the place looks very healthy for birds atm.
