Observers at Melaleuca, Tasmania, reported the first Orange-bellied Parrot returned this week on 1/10. A male, it was followed later in the week by another male and a female. Hopes are high that returns will equal 36, the number presumed to have migrated to the mainland at the end of summer 2011/12.
