In recent days I've been watching Painted and Black-breasted Button-quail in the Sunshine Coast-Cooloola region. I saw seven Black-breasted Buttonquail over two days at Inskip Point and watched a Painted Button-quail giving a threat display in an area of vine scrub shared by Black-breasted Button-quail near Imbil.
