Dear B-A,

I have been having a look at the Game and Feral Animal Control Bill 2012
http://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/prod/parlment/nswbills.nsf/0/c8afc0c4709e478bca25788e0005e862/$FILE/b2011-163-d18-House.pdf
(I am laid up in bed with a broken ankle and bored)

The Bill lists those NSW National Parks and Nature Reserves etc. from which
hunters will be excluded. Funnily enough all off the NPs & NRs around the
Sydney metro areas have been declared off limits to hunters (see Schedule 3A,
Sec 20A, pp 11-12). It seems that every other bit of NPWS land in the state
will be open.

I wonder how long it will be before our little Nimrods will be going for the
right to pursue game onto private land, as they are allowed in France and other
European countries. I can tell you that it in a trifle un-nerving to have a mob
of half-cut hunters (alcohol and gunpowder are often mixed over there) charging
through your vege garden on a Saturday afternoon, as my ex & I have experienced.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
