Olympus LS voice recorder settings

For birds I would recommend a shotgun microphone.  I use a Rode NTG-2.  
Can use external or internal battery power. The quality is good and is 
only around the $300 mark, though it is worthwhile getting the dead 
kitten windshield at extra cost.
