I was recently in the market for a "super zoom" camera and the Nikon P510
fits into this category. Others that I considered were the Canon SX40HS,
Panasonic FZ-150 and Sony HX200V. After a lot of online research (eg.
dpreview.com, digitalcamerareview.com, photographyblog.com & pocket-lint.com)
I narrowed it down to the Panasonic or Sony.
Go and have a look at them all in a store and see which ones feels the most
comfortable, just like you would with a pair of binoculars.
In the end I settled for the Sony, which I purchased online from
digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au for ~$550 including a genuine second
battery. Used it to get some good photos of the Oriental Pratincole that
was at the WTP recently.
