A quick note, albeit slightly belated, about Daintree River Cruises. Anyone who ever went on and enjoyed Chris Dahlberg's tours will be pleased to hear that, since his retirement, his operation is in good hands. The business has passed on to Murray Hunt, an experienced boatman who previously worked at Yellow Water in Kakadu (so, lots of experience finding Little Kingfishers and Great-billed Herons, for starters). Murray is very knowledgeable, good company and has great eyes, and I happily recommend him - he works under the name Daintree Boatman and anyone thinking of going can find him at www.daintreerivercruises.com.au I have no pecuniary interest in these tours, of course.
