Hi Kirri,

I suggest that you give NPWS a ring at Griffith, 02 69668100. They will be able 
to fill you in. I would say the road may still be closed after recent rains. 
While not black soil, the ground in that part of the world goes pretty mucky 
after a bit of rain and stays that way for a surprisingly long time.
