Published sightings for the week ending 8 Jul 2012.

Tue 3 Jul Golden Bowerbird Walters Waterhole Track, Misty Mountains, Ravenshoe
Pair of Golden Bowerbirds (male and female) observed through binoculars for several minutes in a dry watercourse in rainforest about 2 kms in from the Tully Gorge Road, Ravenshoe. Very distinctive and no doubt about identification.

Mon 2 Jul Plum-headed Finch, Mingela Town QLD 10' Cell
In open area near railway, also Emu (5), White-winged Triller (2), Zebra Finch (4).

Sat 30 Jun Pictorella Mannikin Moorrinya NP (Pigeon Dam)
Pictorella Mannikin (3) 1 adult and 2 immatures. Photographed this species here at Pigeon Dam previously, though this time just a poor ID proof pic long range digiscope. On extreme vague south-east edge of distribution Range. Regulatory Restricted public access area at Pigeon Dam.

Pink-eared Duck, Baillon's Crake Pentland Dam
Also noted Black Swan (2) with 3 well developed cygnets, Cotton Pygmy-goose, Pink-eared Duck (8), Glossy Ibis & Baillon's Crake (2).

Little Kingfisher Atherton
Observed one Little Kingfisher for a few minutes as it fished along a small creek near Atherton at around 1:pm. Uncommon on Atherton Tableland.
