Hi all,
The "other group of birders" in Jenny's report were Heyn, Raja and myself. I
apologize for the late report.
We had a great time out there -thanks again, Toni & Peter! The species of the
trip was obviously Princess Parrot! We had a total of 82 species but dipped on
both "big greys" - Grey Falcon and Grey Honeyeater (Raja and I had a Grey
Honeyeater at Kunoth Well in September 2007, but it would have been great to
see this species again). We also missed a few of Jenny's other raptors. We had
a number of very close sightings of Rufous-crowned Emu-wrens, Dusky
Grasswren, Redthroat, Slaty-backed Thornbill, Banded Whiteface, White-fronted
Honeyeater, Orange Chat, Ground Cuckoo-shrike, albicauda Grey Fantail, handsome
Grey Butcherbirds (almost like intermediate between 'normal' Grey Butcherbird
and Silver-backed Butcherbird), Spinifexbird and Central Military Dragon.

identified butterfly species (the detailed report was too long and therefore
rejected by Birding-Aus)
