Published sightings for the week ending 1 Jul 2012.

Thu 28 Jun Grey Falcon Pyramid Station 27km from hwy towards MIllstream NP, Western Australia
Single adult harassing Spotted Harrier giving flight views for two minutes up close. The adult Grey Falcon had pale ash grey upperparts the distinctive smoke grey. Blackish whisker stripe, reduced black trailing edge to primaries on underwing, underwing coverts pale. Feet orangeish. Thought to be a female based on size and body mass relative to Spotted Harrier.

Tue 26 Jun Grey-crowned Babbler Gascoyne River Middle Arm, Great Northern Highway, Western Australia
Around 5-6 birds nesting in trees by the river; active main nest and appears like more than two birds attending to the main nest. My first GCB sighting.

Mon 25 Jun Plumed Whistling-Duck Great Northern Hwy, 23'51'5S, 119'44'15E, Western Australia
Around 14.40Hrs, returning from Karijini NP along the highway and looking for Bustards, - spotted some birds on a small farm dam and took a closer look: several White-necked Herons, a bunch of Grey Teal ducks, heaps of Zebra Finches and unexpectedly - SEVEN Plumed Whistling-Duck! It appears that a number were juveniles. As I got closer to take a better shot - they took off.
