Near and at Mt. Roland
One White Morph Grey Goshawk giving nice views from power poles near Claude Road (See pic), Pink Robin (adult male) at "Blackheart Creek" on Mt Roland Walk, and Juvenile on "Roland Plane". One Scarlet Robin, lots of Crescent, New Holland and Yellow-throated Honeyeaters, Grey Shrike-thrush, Grey Currawong, Green Rosellas, Superb Fairy-wrens, Forest Ravens. Stunning day, but relatively quiet, birding-wise.
John and Shirley Tongue
Striated Fieldwren (1) Just off bass highway, about halfway between Leith Rd and Turners Beach Rd - South Side of road. Small paddock with cows in it and dam behind them. There was a family of superb fairy-wrens but this was sitting on the fence. Got two very good looks at it - could see line above eye, and striated breast, was obviously a more yellowy colour to the fair-wrens too.
