Flushing Night Parrots with Zebra Finches

I have heard that Richard Jordan (former RAOU Warden at Barren Grounds) has 
spent some considerable time searching for Night Parrots by inspecting the 
abandoned nests of finches for Night Parrot feathers. Evidently he has had no 
success so far. However,  it seems like a very creative strategy worth further 
effort, whether or not it was Richard's original idea.
