G'day all

Someone just sent me a photo of a number of waders feeding together in a swamp
in Tanzania. THe group included a couple of Marsh Sandpipers. I looked up my
database because I couldn't remember seeing any when I there in 2010-11. I
didn't - but I also discovered that it's been 9 years since I've seen a Marsh
Sandpiper in Australia. Prior to 2003 I had a sighting most years back to my
first in 1988. Why am I not seeing them any more. I don't think my wader
hunting effort is worse now than in the past.

Any thoughts? Are you all seeing them regularly? Any survey data available
over the last 20-30 years?

Cheers
Steve
