On this theme, I have had Blue-breasted and Splendid mixed together at the Stirling Range. I have had White-winged, Variegated and Red-backed in the same area near the dunes on Anna Plains Station south of Broome (although Red-backed is near the southern limit of its range and is uncommon there). I have had Red-winged and Splendid very close (but not mixed together) several times in the Albany area (including Cheyne Beach). There is an area just north of Perth where Splendid, Variegated, Blue-breasted, White-winged and Red-winged occur in close proximity but generally they are in different habitats. _________________________________________________________________ Frank O'Connor Birding WA http://birdingwa.iinet.net.auPhone : (08) 9386 5694 Email : =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
