Looking at the photograph on Eremaea for NSW-White-necked Petrel off Port Stephens by Mick Roderick and crew on Sunday I was impressed by the solid dark under primaries. If you compare it with photos of Vanuatu Petrel by Peter Harrison and Hadoram Shirihai on an image search of Vanuatu Petrel it is quite a serious contender.
