Birdline Tasmania

Published sightings for the week ending 15 Apr 2012.

Sun 8 Apr Nankeen Kestrel, Tawny-crowned Honeyeater, Forty-spotted pardalote Maria Island
Nankeen Kestrel observed just south of Darlington, perched in dead tree. Tawny-crowned Honeyeater and Forty-spotted pardalotes observed further south near the painted cliffs. Full list from the trip is available here; As far as I'm aware, Tawny-crowned Honeyeaters and Nankeen Kestrel haven't been observed on Maria Island before. Also very rare to see a Nankeen Kestrel this far south in Tasmania. http://www.eremaea.com/Lists.aspx?List=127369
