I have fairly low expectations when it comes to finding unusual birds, so it
took me by complete surprise when I saw and photographed a bird that I knew was
in the area but in my mind I thought, because it was so critically endangered,
almost extinct, that it would be so out of the question to even think of seeing
one… well we can always be wrong…

Anyway it's on my blog at

Kind regards

Chris Shaw
