Australian King-Parrot
Crystal Cascades, Cairns
Three Australian King-Parrot seen flying over canopy, not commonly seen on coast, also Blue-faced Honeyeater along Yorkeys Knob Road, Cairns, occasional seen on coast along with 3 Australian Wood Duck same location.( Moderator: uncommon on coast).

Black-winged Monarch
Mt Cook National Park - east side
Black-winged Monarch adult with black wings and tail, also heard calling,
This species had been seen in Mt Cook National Park in October 2011, but not subsequently seen until now.

Australian Little Bittern (Ixobrychus dubius)
Tyto Wetlands
Female Australian Little Bittern flying with series of shrill squawky calls from scleria across main lagoon and dropping into paragrass this morning. No subsequent sightings or sounds.
