Living Treasure Clive Palmer wants to dig coal out of the Bimblebox
Nature Refuge near Alpha in Central Queensland. Bimblebox is home to the
threatened sub-species of the Black-throated Finch.
I draw your attention to an article in Saturday's Courier Mail (31/3/2012 Page M36) about mining in Nature Refuges: http://www.couriermail.com.au/ipad/a-canary-in-a-coal-mine/story-fn6ck8la-1226314752872A letter to the editor in support would be worth the effort - the paper will do a bigger article if there is a big response!
