Great Shearwaters again?

Hi all,
A recent Canadian client of mine on a birding trip through Oz and NZ just
emailed me to say he has seen and photographed a number of (possible) Great
Shearwaters from the Cook Strait ferry, NZ on 11 Feb around 9:40am. Photos
available on request.
You'll all recall last year's Great Shearwater 'invasion' in Oz waters in
March/April. Perhaps it's about to happen again?
cheers
Peter
