Published sightings for the week ending 19 Feb 2012.

Sat 18 Feb Streaked Shearwater, Tahiti and Great-winged (Grey-faced) Petrels Southport Pelagic
4 Streaked Shearwaters (inshore), 3-4 Tahiti and 3 Great-winged Petrels (all gouldi) (offshore). Reasonable numbers of Flesh-footed and Hutton's Shearwaters as well as 1000+ Wedge-tailed Shearwaters.

Fri 17 Feb Speckled Warbler Purga Nature Reserve
Observed towards back of reserve. Also two Peaceful Doves near car park.

Wed 15 Feb Oriental Cuckoo Anstead Bushland Reserve
One Oriental Cuckoo still in the reserve on Wednesday morning. The bird was seen along the trail down to the river in the far south-western corner. Also Shining Bronze-Cuckoo still around.

flock of 40 birds flying northwards in late afternoon

resident on the island

collared imperial pigeon boigu island
individuals seen in morning and evenings over a few days

powerful owl Brookfield/Moggil Creek
individual calling regularly (each night) in the kensington circuit reach of Moggill Creek for the last few weeks
