Tonight at about 1715 hr. an Osprey carrying a large fish was flying
above the mangroves near the saltworks eastern boundary adjacent to
Price Creek. I was able to obtain adequate photographs. Not sure of its
recent status but in nearly 40 years of casual observations here, this
is new for my Yorke Peninsula list. In the 1990s Osprey were seen
regularly on Eyre Peninsula at Port Lincoln and Coffin Bay.
