On the way to work this morning I spotted a Pacific Heron fishing at a large pond left from Yarra floodwaters near the Bourke Road bridge in Kew East. Took me a few seconds to figure out what it was, as it was all muddy and very hunched up. This is the first time I've seen a Pacific Heron this close to the city.
