Little Bittern
Tyto Wetlands
Little Bittern male flushed from scleria within 4 metres of track NE corner of main lagoon about 10am today. Bird flew low over scleria to S for about 100m before turning W out of sight. Usual habitat for species but surprising flush point, being close to track where I've been stalking Black Bitterns (for pix: without luck) since the Wet began last week.
