Birdline Northern Territory

Published sightings for the week ending 18 Dec 2011.

Mon 12 Dec Broad-billed Flycatcher, Rose-crowned Fruit-dove Fogg Dam Wall
Other highlights on an unseasonanally cool day in the tropics, were, Little Kingfisher, Rainbow Pitta, hundreds of Crimson Finches and a Hobby.

Sun 11 Dec Rainbow Pitta, Shining Flycatcher East Point, Monsoon forest walk
Single Pitta observed whilst both sexes of Shining Flycatcher were seen together. Also, a single Sprangled Drongo, plenty of Wallabies and Orange-footed Scrubfowls tending a massive mound (approx. 2m tall by 10m wide).
