Dear all

I refer to the email below in which my 1996 short note on Cinnamon Bittern in
Timor was mentioned.

As Chief Editor of KUKILA, the journal that published that record, I’d like to
make readers aware that this article and almost all back copies of our journal
are available online at: http://kukila.org/index.php/KKL/index

KUKILA is now annual, and we have a section for unusual sightings and breeding
records in our feature ‘Around the Archipelago’.
We welcome reports on Indonesian birds from anyone, and it would be nice to see
more contributions from Australians, given Indonesia’s proximity to Australia.

cheers
Richard
p.s. The Forktail article mentioned below re: Timor Leste’s waterbirds has been
somewhat superseded by Colin’s recent article (Trainor, C. 2011. The waterbirds
and coastal seabirds of Timor-Leste: new site records clarifying residence
status, distribution and taxonomy. Forktail 27, 63-72), in which he suggests
that the species is now probably a breeding resident in Timor.
