Australasian Bittern (3), Latham's Snipe (7)
Waterhouse Conservation Area
2 Australasian Bitterns present at Blackman's Lagoon, both flushed from the wetland area behind the campsite in the morning. One bird sighted in the evening sitting in the same clump of grass from which it flushed in the morning. Both birds called well into the night. Another bittern observed in the expansive grassy section of Big Waterhouse Lake mid-morning. 7 Latham's Snipe flushed from the northern perimeter of Little Waterhouse Lake, likely to be more around the other side. Birds were roosting right up in the scrub around the lake.

Sanderling (1), Common Greenshank (4), Cape Barren Goose (5), Eastern Curlew (2)
Orielton Lagoon
One Sanderling present in a flock of about 50 Bar-tailed Godwit on the foreshore at the edge of midway point and the golf course.
Eastern Curlew were roosting on, then feeding near, a semi submerged pipe from the Sorell side.
Four Common Greenshank was feeding at 5:30 am near the Pittwater Golf Course. Later seen along the midway point foreshore, just past the Godwits.
The Cape Barren Geese did an aerial lap of the foreshore calling at one point. Possibly came from the golf course.

40 spotted pardalote
near Barnes Bay North Bruny Island
About 450 metres north of intersection of Bruny Island Main road and Missionary Rd in a small creek. Sighted by 4 people at same site. Also Dusky robin seen.
