Sun 11 Dec	White-throated Needletail Newline Quarry Paddock 4 flying over between thunderstorms. Also Brown Treecreepers, Dollarbird, Dusky Woodswallow and many immature Black-faced Cuckoo-shrikes. John Leonard
	Horsfield's Bushlark, Brown Songlark Uriarra Road Both Horsfield's Bushlark and Brown Songlark observed on the western side of Uriarra Road. Alastair Smith, Frank Antram
	Latham's Snipe Coree, Uriarra Road/Mountain Creek Road junction Single Latham's Snipe observed on the road side of the dam. Alastair Smith
	Hooded Robin Namadgi Visitor's Centre Male Hooded Robin seen sheltering from rain in a tree about 600-700 meters up the hill, after crossing the road on the trail from the visitors center. Ben Walmsley

	Buff-banded Rail Intersection of Well Station Drive and Gungahlin Drive A single Buff-banded Rail was observed at approximately 12:30 to the west of the road while waiting for the traffic lights at the intersection of Well Station Drive and Gungahlin Drive. PJ Milburn
	Pallid Cuckoo, White-throated Needletail Callum Brae Nature Reserve 2 Pallid Cuckoo (one juvenile) and 3 White-throated Needletail observed late this afternoon at Callum Brae. Alastair Smith

	Southern Whiteface Kama reserve Just a single bird with Superb fairy wrens Roger Williams
Wed 7 Dec	Whistling Kite National Zoo and Aquarium Single bird observed flying over Zoo at approx 9:15am Scott Ryan
	Barn Owl Newline Paddocks Single Barn Owl observed in the front paddock. Alastair Smith
Tue 6 Dec	Lewin's Honeyeater Majura Firing Range Barbara Allan and myself, in company with the Defence environmental officer surveyed the Majura Firing Range sites on a sunny, still, bright and cheerful Tuesday morning last week. Most eucalypt species were flowering profusely, although most flowers appeared to be a little bit past their best. Even so, as usual we didn’t turn up too many honeyeaters apart from the usual suspects of Red Wattlebirds, Noisy Friarbirds and Noisy Miners. Except of course for the two Lewin’s Honeyeaters Barbara spotted at subsite 3 and the Yellow-faced HE I heard at subsite 8. \ Paul Fennel
	Black Falcon Birriagi Single bird observed this morning soaring high over Birriagi and Tidbinbilla Road. Great views of bird. Scott Ryan
	Lathams Snipe Jerrabomberra wetlands/Jerrabomberra creek At about 11 o'clock this morning, this pair of Lathams Snipe were feeding out in the open, on Jerrabomberra Creek, just over the bridge near Fulica hide. Roger Williams
Mon 5 Dec	Long-billed Corella Fraser Preschool, ACT Two adults with a single dependent bird (short bill and being fed and preened). Stephen Wallace
	Freckled Duck, Pink-eared Duck Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant Number of Freckled Duck has dropped to 2 and only 4 Pink-eared Duck (both species on pond 7). Alastair Smith
	Great Egret Kelly's Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetland, Fyshwick 8 Great Egret on the mud of Jerrabomberra Creek. Alastair Smith
Sun 4 Dec	Freckled Duck, Pink-eared Duck, Australian Spotted Crake Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant Freckled Duck 9 on pond 3 (10th bird has appeared on Kellys Swamp) Pink-eared Duck on ponds 1 and 3 and an Australian Spotted Crake on pond 7 Alastair Smith
	Great Egret Kelly's Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetland, Fyshwick 6 Great Egret on the Jerrabomberra Wetland complex - 5 on the mud of what was Jerrabomberra Creek between Fulica and Tadorna hides and a 6th was on Kellys. Also one intermediate egret on Kellys Swamp. Alastair Smith
Sun 27 Nov	Crescent Honeyeater Chapman A surprise visitor to my GBS in Chapman over the past few days has been a male of the above, calling very loudly and proving easy to find without binos several times early mornings. Last records here this year were a couple in August consistent with their usual late winter/early spring departure, though in 2004 they were present and very noisy just up the road round Bruce Lindenmayer’s place well into December.
