Black Falcon
Thiele Highway, Freeling
Black Falcon (1) Pursuing Quail. A single Black Falcon dived at two Stubble Quail fleeing a Harvester on outskirts of Freeling. The Falcon was unsuccessful; it then banked off to the east and preceeded to thermal till it reached a height where I could hardly see it with just my eyes!

Lesser Sand Plover, Greater Sand Plover, Purple-crowned Lorikeet, Blue-winged Parrot
Thompson Beach
Lesser Sand Plover (4) just north of central carpark/beach - one with a single partially complete dark band across chest.
Greater Sand Plover (2) 2 birds in non-breeding plumage seen among small group of LSP's.
Purple-crowned Lorikeet (11) two small flocks of 6 & 5 flying from northern tidal inlet area - possibly flying from remnant woodland south of Parham; size, call and red underwing making i.d easy enough, if a little surprising!
Blue-winged Parrot (13) scattered in small section of northern dune area where seeding grasses and flowers were abundant.
