I observed a single W T Nightjar flying low over the sea at the fairway beacon in Weipa yesterday evening (3 Nov 2011) at about 1800 hrs. Last year I got photos of one of a few birds observed further north off the Skardon River in August. This is theh second sighting I know of this species in Weipa.
