Hi CarlI assumed the numerous birds I saw in Barcelona were Rose-ringed/Ring-necked Parakeets. But, from what others have written to me, the Barcelona birds are Monk Parakeets/"Quaker Parrots" (Myiopsitta monachus Boddaert 1783). Incidentally there was a pair of Monk Parakeets (one blue) in a Melbourne street not long ago. Michael Norris Melbourne |
