Hi Friends,
I have just received a paper Evolution of arid zone birds in Australia:
leapfrog distribution patterns and mesic-
arid connections in quail-thrush (Cinclosoma, Cinclosomatidae) published in
Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution. They clearly state that Nullarbor
Quailthrush should be recognised as a separate species. I have always
thought that the paper by Ford, which proposed lumping this taxon with
Cinclosoma cinnamoeum, represented statistical rubbish. But now I do not
have to argue for this any more. It's been done. If anyone would like a pdf
of the paper, let me know offline.
