I have observed a similar situation in Northern Victoria over the last few weeks. Whilst driving at night in the rural areas there are Barn Owls everywhere. Various couonts I have made without trying recently are 8, 14, 20, 12, 6. This was in the Bridgewater, Kerang, Pyramid Hill, Mitiamo areas. Ties in with a number of sightings in Melbourne suburbs, reported to Birdline. I wonder if there are any Grass Owls amongst them ?? Regards, Simon Starr. =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
