I counted well over 20 Barn Owl road kills on a drive from Broken Hill to 
Mildura a few weeks ago and similar numbers on the Broken Hill to Adelaide road 
a week later.  I have also seen 3 around Broken Hill (including one in town).  
I don't think I have seen any in the previous 6 to 7 years (and certainly have 
never seen a live one in this area).
