Hey Guys,
Adding to the sightings of Woodswallows, yesterday I had 3 flocks, one 300+ of
mixed White-browed and Masked over Broke, about 20ks west of Cessnock in the
Hunter Valley.
I have also just had a about 60 birds (mixed) fly over my house at Kurri Kurri,
about 15k east of Cessnock in the Hunter Valley.
I usually get these birds over Kurri during September, but the last two years
they havent arrived. Probably down to the drought breaking conditions inland.
They came to mind last week as we have had warmer than normal temps, coupled
with strong westerly winds. Its a perfect recipe for their 'irregular' nature.
