My understanding is that Mosquitofish (Gambusia holbrooki) do eat mosquito larvae. However, they have a bigger preference for consuming other aquatic invertebrates that are natural predators of mosquito larvae. Therefore, they tend to exacerbate the mosquito problem in aquatic environments.
