I am very familiar with a number (?most) of the calls of the Lewin's Rail but am only familiar with one call of the Buff-banded Rail. It is the only call on the Xenocanto site. I describe it as 'swit, swit, swit' but others have different descriptions. Is anyone familiar with other calls of the Buff-banded Rail? HANZAB describes a 'coo' and low growling. Greg Dr Greg. P.
