Dear All,
A very interesting thread and one that I will happily leave for the experts,
but I was wondering if we could have more information on the behaviour of this
bird? Trying to extrapolate the jizz of a bird from a couple of still images
can lead to inaccurate conclusions. It is more than a few years since I have
seen a Pied Heron, but from memory they act quite differently from Little
Egrets (and, for that matter, from Eastern Reef Egrets) so a detailed
description of how this bird was behaving would add useful information to the
debate.
